Looks pretty good. But if "remember when" is the lowest form of conversation (as Tony Soprano said), then time travel is the most unimaginative gimmick for storytelling. Also, when are the Cardassians going to get some love--or perhaps I should say hate--as Trek movie villains? '

Yeah, apparently time travel is a major fulcrum of the plot. I've tried, with moderate sucess, to avoid reading too many spoilers, but if you think about the cast and the villains of the film you can probably get a good idea of how time travel figures in.
Still, Simon Pegg as Scotty? Good decision, Abrams.

Goddamn I love Star Trek. My mom is a big Trekkie (she says she'll put a down payment on my house if I get married in Vegas, on the bridge of the Enterprise) and she flipped over the trailer.

@ Ashish: Time travel is awesome. And EVERYONE knows that James T. Kirk was the biggest offender that the Federation had ever known when it came to screwing with timelines--the temporal police hated that guy! So it makes sense that time travel would be at the heart of this story.

Actually to be the bearer of awesome news! An article in the Las Vegas Review Journal on October 17, 2008 mentioned the possibility of the Star Trek Experience being recreated at the Neonopolis Mall in downtown Las Vegas. Mayor Oscar Goodman stated this in a news conference on October 16, 2008. A possible deal is currently being negotiated between CBS and Rohit Joshi, developer of the Neonopolis Mall.
In an article dated November 7 on the In Business Las Vegas website, it has been confirmed that all elements of Star Trek The Experience will be moved to it's new home at Neonopolis. An operator for the attraction has not been confirmed.

I'm so pumped for this movie. I geeked out when the preview came on before Bond. That said, I'm pretty sure my wedding will not be on the bridge of the Enterprise....
